Procurement Engineer

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Procurement Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process of construction materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements, budget, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project technical documents, BOQs, and specifications to determine procurement needs
• Source and prequalify vendors and subcontractors within the UAE market
• Request, analyze, and compare quotations from suppliers
• Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets for internal approvals
• Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers
• Issue purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery
• Track material deliveries, update procurement logs, and resolve any supply issues
• Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with internal procedures and project requirements
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline)
• 4–5 years of UAE experience in a procurement engineering role, preferably within the construction or contracting industry
• Strong knowledge of UAE supplier market, materials, and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
