OVERALL, PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE OF THIS POSITION:
To support the Procurement team in sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management of Piping items. The position ensures cost-effective, timely, and quality procurement of materials to maintain smooth operations and reduce downtime.

JOB DESCRIPTION MAJOR & MINOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1- Must hold an Engineering degree (Mechanical / Industrial / Electrical / Production).
2- Support in identifying and evaluating suppliers for piping materials and related components (e.g. Pipe, tubes, fittings, flanges, fasteners, valves, gasket, spares etc.
3- Assist in conducting market research to find alternative suppliers and new sourcing opportunities.
4- Help in preparing and managing RFQs, including timely floatation and vendor follow- ups.
5- Learn to ensure competitive rates are obtained within the required closing time under guidance.
6- Support in requesting and evaluating quotations, preparing comparative statements, and recommending options to seniors.
7- Assist in negotiations related to pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms alongside senior staff.
8- Participate in vendor visits (as required) to observe and understand supplier capabilities and quality standards.
9- Assist in inspection of materials to verify quality, conformity to specifications, and supplier compliance.
10- Track delivery schedules and follow up with vendors to support timely supply and resolve basic discrepancies.
11- Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with audit requirements under supervision.
12- Provide support to senior procurement staff in special projects and sourcing initiatives.
