Procurement Engineer

We are looking for a procurement engineer who will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring technical materials, equipment, and services while ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery for Construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing and Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials, equipment, and services required for engineering and manufacturing projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to secure favorable conditions and cost savings
• Technical Evaluation: Review engineering specifications, verify compliance, and support quality control efforts to ensure procured items meet operational and safety requirements
• Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and project management teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets
• Inventory and Logistics Management: Monitor supplier performance, manage deliveries, track purchase orders, and maintain accurate procurement records
• Process Improvement: Conduct market research, analyze procurement data, and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce cost

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related technical fields.
• Experience: 7+ years in procurement, purchasing, within a main Contractor environment; senior roles may require strategic decision-making and team leadership experience
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS systems, procurement software, and understanding of sourcing strategies, risk management, and industry standards
• Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration; analytical skills for market and supplier evaluation
