Procurement Engineer

Job Summary

The Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing technical materials, equipment, and services required for projects and operations Internationally . The role involves supplier management, technical evaluation of quotations, negotiation, cost optimization, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review technical specifications, and material requisitions.
  • Source international suppliers for electrical, automation, and industrial products.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations based on technical compliance, price, quality, and delivery schedules.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract conditions with suppliers.
  • Issue purchase orders and monitor order execution until final delivery.
  • Coordinate with engineering, estimation, and project teams to understand procurement requirements.
  • Manage import-related activities and coordinate with freight forwarders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with approved vendors and identify new suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering.

Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in technical procurement, preferably in the electrical, switchgear, automation, or industrial sector.
  • Experience in local and international sourcing.
  • Knowledge of import and export procedures is preferred.
