Procurement Engineer Civil/MEP

Summary:

The Contract/Procurement Engineer will be responsible for managing the procurement process for Civil and MEP materials and services for the high-rise building projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery for construction projects.

Job Responsibility:

- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify Civil and MEP material and service requirements.

- Source potential suppliers, obtain quotations, and negotiate pricing and terms.

- Evaluate supplier proposals and make recommendations based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.

- Create and manage purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documents.

- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.

- Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers related to quality, delivery or pricing.

- Monitor and track procurement activity to identify potential cost savings and process improvements.

- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies in MEP procurement.

Candidate Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

- Proven 10-12 years’ experience in high rise projects contracts and procurement, specifically in Civil and MEP materials and services.

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.

- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Knowledge of FIDIC and procurement best practices and industry standards.

- Familiarity with Civil and MEP systems and construction processes.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
