Procurement Engineer-Instrumentation

We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Engineer – Instrumentation with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement of instrumentation and control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of process instrumentation products and proven experience in vendor management, negotiation, and project-based procurement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities for instrumentation and process control equipment
  • Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate technical and commercial offers
  • Conduct technical comparisons and vendor assessments
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules
  • Coordinate with engineering, sales, and project teams for material specifications
  • Monitor purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery
  • Develop and maintain approved vendor database
  • Ensure compliance with company policies
  • Optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards

Products & Scope (Preferred Experience)

  • Pressure, Temperature, Level & Flow Instruments
  • Control Valves & Actuators
  • Analyzers & Gas Detection Systems
  • PLC / DCS related instrumentation
  • Industrial automation components
  • Panels & Shelters materials

Experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Water & Power projects will be an advantage.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in instrumentation field
  • Strong negotiation and commercial evaluation skills
  • Knowledge of international standards (IEC, API, ISO)
  • Experience with ERP systems and MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
