Procurement Officer - Emirati Talent

Job Purpose:

Support the Procurement team in ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services, assist with day-to-day procurement operations, and contribute to initiatives that enhance supplier performance, compliance, and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in day-to-day procurement operations, including purchase requisitions, purchase order processing, and follow-up with suppliers.
  • Support sourcing activities by obtaining quotations, preparing comparative statements, and assisting in vendor selection processes.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation in compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
  • Support negotiations with suppliers under guidance to achieve cost efficiency and favorable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in preparing procurement reports related to spend analysis, supplier performance, and inventory status.
  • Participate in procurement improvement initiatives such as process optimization, supplier rationalization, and cost-saving projects.
  • Stay updated on procurement best practices, market trends, and supply chain developments.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferably Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Quality Management, or related field).


Other Skills:

  • Basic understanding of procurement processes, sourcing, and supplier management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive and learning-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to learn procurement regulations, policies, and best practices.
