JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Sourcing of new and/or potential vendors/suppliers of various materials intended for Fit-out projects and carpentry/joinery materials (wood, hardware and paint materials) and others as required for the project.
- Review/prepares comparative analysis and evaluation of quotations from suppliers
- Negotiating contract terms of agreement, pricing, shipment and delivery.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Review quality of purchased products.
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
- Create detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is beneficial
- Proven work experience as a Procurement Engineer or similar role with comprehensive experience in sourcing/purchasing of materials
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
- Understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create and conduct cost analysis.
- Negotiation skills.
- Liaise with logistics / procurement on deliveries
- UPDA certification is an advantage.
