Procurement Engineer (with ERP Knowledge)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Sourcing of new and/or potential vendors/suppliers of various materials intended for Fit-out projects and carpentry/joinery materials (wood, hardware and paint materials) and others as required for the project.
• Review/prepares comparative analysis and evaluation of quotations from suppliers
• Negotiating contract terms of agreement, pricing, shipment and delivery.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Review quality of purchased products.
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
• Create detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is beneficial
• Proven work experience as a Procurement Engineer or similar role with comprehensive experience in sourcing/purchasing of materials
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
• Understanding of supply chain procedures.
• Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create and conduct cost analysis.
• Negotiation skills.
• Liaise with logistics / procurement on deliveries
• UPDA certification is an advantage.
