Position Overview
The Procurement Executive will be responsible for managing the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of goods required by the organization. The role involves supporting day-to-day business operations including sales tracking, margin analysis, and inventory management. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of business concepts and a willingness to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
- Raise purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the store/warehouse team.
- Maintain vendor database and build strong supplier relationships.
- Track procurement KPIs (cost, quality, lead time, compliance).
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and standards.
- Conduct market research to identify new and alternative suppliers.
- Resolve procurement-related issues such as delays, shortages, or quality discrepancies.
- Collaborate with finance for invoice verification and payment processing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management (fresher with internship experience can also apply, if applicable).
- Strong knowledge of negotiation and business concepts is essential
