Position Title: Procurement Intern

Department: Supply Chain

Location: Request Foods, Holland, Michigan

Reports To: Director of Procurement

Position Overview

The Procurement Intern will support the Supply Chain team in sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in procurement processes, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in supplier research, qualification, and onboarding.
Support RFQ (Request for Quotation) and RFP (Request for Proposal) processes, including data collection and bid analysis.
Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and support ongoing projects.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with procurement policies and timelines.
Prepare reports and presentations for procurement meetings and cost-saving forums.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Economics with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong academic record in a relevant field of study.
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Authorized to work in the United States.
