Job Type: Full-Time / Internship
Shift: Night Shift

Working Hours:

  • Summer: 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM
  • Winter: 7:00 PM – 4:00 AM

We are a Houston, Texas–based General Contractor engaged in a wide range of commercial construction projects across the United States. We are looking for a motivated Procurement Intern to join our Procurement Department in Lahore. This role is ideal for a fresh graduate in Civil Engineering who is eager to learn US-based construction procurement processes and gain hands-on experience in vendor sourcing, purchasing, and supplier coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating accurate purchase orders based on project requirements
  • Support the preparation of submittals for architects according to project specifications
  • Help identify and research new vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors based on project location and scope
  • Coordinate with project and technical teams to understand material, equipment, and service requirements
  • Assist in evaluating suppliers based on pricing, quality, and reliability
  • Maintain and update the supplier database and procurement records
  • Support the preparation of RFPs/RFQs and vendor communication
  • Assist in tracking purchase orders and monitoring delivery schedules
  • Follow up with suppliers regarding order status and resolve basic discrepancies
  • Help ensure delivered materials meet project specifications and standards
  • Maintain documentation related to procurement activities and supplier performance
  • Support the procurement team in improving vendor sourcing and procurement processes

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)
  • Basic understanding of construction materials and procurement processes
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications is a plus
  • Familiarity with MS Excel and MS Word
  • Strong communication, organizational, and coordination skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Willingness to learn US construction procurement practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
