Procurement Lead

Position: Lead Procurement

Location: Qatar

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate procurement activities across operating companies, ensuring an effective and efficient procurement process that meets business and project requirements.
• Enhance project execution by continuously improving Vendor Lists and engaging qualified vendors and subcontractors in line with the company’s ethical standards.
• Strengthen and optimise the company’s procurement capabilities while building and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Main Tasks

• Drive the implementation of procurement policies, standards, guidelines, and work instructions across the function.
• Ensure that global and strategic sourcing efforts fully support project needs.
• Facilitate access to new markets and contribute to project delivery with the goal of maximising cost savings.
• Oversee training and development plans to ensure the professional growth of procurement staff.
• Ensure adherence to the Code of Ethics and internal control systems.
• Support risk management activities related to procurement and ensure compliance with company Golden Rules and Silver Guidelines.
• Provide guidance, commercial expertise, and methodological support to enhance synergies, leverage commercial opportunities, and meet procurement targets.

Additional Responsibilities as Company Procurement Lead

• Manage procurement processes for materials, services, and subcontracts to fulfil project and business requirements, following defined strategies and optimising cost and delivery timelines.
• Establish preliminary agreements with vendors during commercial phases, and collaborate with the Legal team on contract clause negotiation and subcontract management.
• Ensure proper application of liquidated damages in line with contractual terms.

Additional Responsibilities as Corporate Procurement Lead

• Oversee vendor evaluation and qualification processes.
• Monitor procurement resource availability and optimise resource allocation.
• Drive the continuous improvement of procurement tools and reporting systems, ensuring effective use of procurement KPIs.
