Procurement Manager

Job Purpose The Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management processes. This role ensures that the organization secures the best value, quality, and service from suppliers while maintaining compliance with company standards and policies. The Procurement Manager drives cost efficiency, strengthens supplier relationships, and contributes to the organization’s long-term strategic growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and operational needs.
  • Manage the full procurement cycle: supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and performance monitoring.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and strategic partners to ensure consistent quality and reliability.
  • Lead supplier negotiations to optimize pricing, terms, and service delivery while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to forecast demand and align procurement activities.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities in sourcing.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service.
  • Develop and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Oversee vendor performance evaluation, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor the procurement team to build organizational capability and ensure operational excellence.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification such as CIPS is preferred).
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven expertise in contract management, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze data, budgets, and cost structures.
  • Experience within retail, luxury goods, FMCG, or a multinational environment is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and procurement software tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
