Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Manager to oversee and manage the company's procurement functions. This role is responsible for strategic initiatives and administration of procurement activities, including travel expenses, fleet management, preferred vendors, subcontractors, and real estate oversight. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and negotiation skills and will ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement processes that align with company goals.

Your Responsibilities as a Procurement Manager:

• Procurement Oversight: Manage day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and optimizing cost savings and operational efficiency.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with preferred vendors and subcontractors. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts with volume discounts and rebate programs, and ensure service levels are met.
• Travel & Expense Management: Design corporate travel policies, bookings, and related expenses. Evaluate whether a 3rd party travel and expense platform is a good solution for Apex. Work with relevant departments to optimize travel costs while ensuring employee needs are met.
• Fleet Management: Proactively manage Apex's fleet of 500+ vehicles, while providing both strategic and tactical oversight of Apex's 3rd party fleet management firm.
• Real Estate Coordination: Collaborate with and oversee external real estate vendors to support facility and lease needs. May support strategic real estate planning and coordination as needed.
• Policy Development & Compliance: Develop procurement and expense policies, ensure adherence across departments, and support audits and compliance reporting.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve procurement systems and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• 8+ years of procurement or operations management experience
• Proven experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts
• Familiarity with travel programs, fleet management, and facilities management
• Strong understanding of procurement software and systems
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of procurement compliance and risk management practices
• Collaborating across multiple functions
• Driving cost-savings initiatives
• Proven ability to lead and manage organizational change initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with real estate or facilities management oversight
