Procurement Manager

Our client is looking for a well experienced Procurement Manager - Arabic Speaker to be based in Riyadh or Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The role focuses on achieving optimal balance between cost, quality, and delivery timelines while maintaining compliance with company policies, supplier standards, and sustainability objectives. Should ensure the efficient sourcing and purchasing of all materials, packaging, equipment, and services essential to the company’s frozen food operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing & Supplier Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers for frozen food ingredients, packaging materials, and logistics services.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews (quality, lead time, service level).
• Ensure supplier compliance with company food safety, quality, and ethical standards (e.g., SFDA, SASO, ISO, HACCP).

Strategic Procurement:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and cost optimization targets.
• Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and pricing to ensure competitive sourcing.
• Maintain and update the Approved Vendor List (AVL).

Operational Procurement:

• Manage end-to-end purchasing cycle from requisition to delivery.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Logistics teams to forecast needs and prevent stockouts.
• Optimize procurement lead times while ensuring compliance with cold chain requirements.
• Oversee import documentation and clearance when sourcing from international suppliers.

Cost Control & Budgeting:

• Monitor purchase budgets and ensure cost efficiency across all categories.
• Analyze price fluctuations and recommend strategies for cost stability.
• Participate in cost-saving projects and vendor consolidation initiatives.

Policy, Compliance & Reporting:

• Enforce company procurement policies and ethical standards.
• Ensure alignment with internal control procedures and audit requirements.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement KPIs: cost savings, supplier performance, and lead time efficiency.
• For Head of sales by request.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Finance, and Logistics departments.
• Support New Product Development (NPD) projects by sourcing new materials and packaging options.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5–8 years in Procurement or Supply Chain within the FMCG or Frozen Food sector.
• Very communication skills in English and Arabic will be highly desirable.
• KSA driving license and car.
• Willing to work in Riyadh or Jeddah.
