We are looking for a
Procurement Manager
for our global client operating in the chemicals sector. This role is responsible for leading global and regional sourcing activities across direct, indirect, and contract manufacturing categories, driving cost optimization, supply security, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:

Manage global and regional direct and indirect spend for chemical, packaging, and logistics categories, including Turkey scope.

Develop and execute regional procurement strategies aligned with business, cost, and sustainability objectives.

Lead category management activities, including market analysis, benchmarking, and cost optimization initiatives.

Partner closely with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams to support innovation, portfolio changes, and new product launches.

Drive cost savings and value creation projects while ensuring supply continuity and quality standards.

Manage contract manufacturing procurement, including sourcing, negotiations, pricing, and quarterly cost finalization.

Source and qualify new raw material and packaging suppliers, ensuring supply security and sustainability.

Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.

Monitor and manage supplier performance across cost, quality, service, and sustainability metrics.

Support manufacturing sites on material availability, quality issues, shortages, and network optimization.

Forecast raw and packaging material price trends and assess their impact on procurement strategies.

Conduct spend analysis, procurement reporting, and data-driven decision support.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree – Chemistry or Sciences, Master’s degree in Business or Sciences is a plus. Certified Purchasing Manager certificate is a plus.

10+ years of experience in procurement/Strategic sourcing of Direct and Indirect materials and Services;

Experience with strategic sourcing methodologies, structured contract negotiations and supplier performance management;

A strong knowledge of chemistry and chemical market background is preferred.

Effective time management skills in order to facilitate multiple priorities and firm deadlines;

Strong analytical, financial analysis and problem solving skills

Experience and working knowledge of SAP

Proficient English writing and communication skills required

Must be able to lead projects and teams effectively and drive for outstanding results.
