  • Location: Muscat

Purpose of the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team for a building construction project. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in the Oman market, a strong understanding of procurement processes, and the ability to source materials and services efficiently.

  • Procurement Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with project timelines and budgets.
  • Identify and source quality materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects.
  • Supplier Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and maintain an approved vendor list.
  • Market Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to identify competitive pricing, availability, and quality of construction materials and equipment.
  • Stay updated on market trends, regulations, and best practices in Oman’s construction sector.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and Oman regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and budgets.
  • Logistics and Coordination:
  • Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Work closely with project managers and engineers to address procurement-related issues.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve conflicts or discrepancies in procurement processes.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of procurement experience in Oman, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • License: Valid Oman driving license is mandatory.
  • Full-time position based on-site or at the project location.
  • Involves frequent travel within Oman for supplier meetings and inspections.
