- Procurement Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Identify and source quality materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects.
- Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
- Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain an approved vendor list.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify competitive pricing, availability, and quality of construction materials and equipment.
- Stay updated on market trends, regulations, and best practices in Oman’s construction sector.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and Oman regulations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and budgets.
- Logistics and Coordination:
- Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials to ensure project requirements are met.
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to address procurement-related issues.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
- Resolve conflicts or discrepancies in procurement processes.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of procurement experience in Oman, preferably in the construction industry.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- License: Valid Oman driving license is mandatory.
- Full-time position based on-site or at the project location.
- Involves frequent travel within Oman for supplier meetings and inspections.
