Position: Procurement Manager – Logistics & Fleet Operations
Location: Delhi
Salary: ₹45,000 – ₹50,000

Role Overview:
The Company is looking for a highly skilled Procurement Manager with strong experience in logistics fleet sourcing, transport vendor management, and cost negotiation.
The role involves ensuring timely availability of fleets, maintaining competitive procurement rates, and building a dependable vendor network to support the company’s logistics operations. The candidate must demonstrate strong market awareness, analytical ability, and a proactive approach to fleet procurement.
Key Responsibilities1. Fleet Sourcing & Rate Optimization:
- Source fleets such as FTL, LCV, trailers, and other transport vehicles based on operational needs.
- Finalize commercially viable rates while balancing service quality and profitability.
- Track rate movements in the logistics market to keep procurement competitive.
2. Vendor Development & Assessment
- Build and manage a robust base of transport vendors and fleet owners.
- Collect detailed vendor information including operational history, reliability, market reputation, and financial standing.
- Evaluate informal market feedback to assess vendor credibility before onboarding.
3. Contract Negotiation & Compliance
- Negotiate rates, service conditions, and terms of engagement for long-term procurement stability.
- Prepare and manage vendor contracts aligned with company procurement standards.
- Ensure all agreements follow company policies and industry norms.
4. Vendor Relationship & Performance Management
- Maintain consistent communication with vendors to ensure on-time fleet deployment.
- Review vendor service quality at regular intervals and take corrective action when required.
- Resolve vendor issues quickly to avoid operational disruptions.
5. Market Intelligence & Risk Monitoring
- Keep track of industry trends, competitor freight rates, and fleet availability in the market.
- Identify risks related to vendor performance, market instability, or cost spikes.
- Propose cost-saving ideas and procurement improvements.
6. Internal Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with operations and finance teams for fleet planning, billing checks, and payment coordination.
- Prepare detailed reports such as rate comparisons, vendor scorecards, and cost analysis sheets.
- Support management in decision-making through accurate procurement data.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management.
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in fleet hiring, logistics procurement, transport vendor management.
- Strong command over fleet categories, vendor networks, and cost structures.
- Proficiency in Excel, rate sheets, vendor evaluation tools, and documentation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Personality Traits
- Market-savvy, well-connected with transport vendors, and aware of ground-level logistics trends.
- Strong judgment to evaluate vendors not only through documents but also via market feedback and behavior.
- Ownership-driven approach with focus on cost optimization and service reliability.
