Procurement Officer

We are currently seeking a Procurement Officer for one of our very well-known client, to be based in their Dubai office.

Job Purpose:

The Job Holder is accountable to negotiate offers and purchase required goods and services at lowest cost and to the relevant quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

1.Reviews, renews and manages all maintenance contracts related to BU's awarded maintenance jobs to ensure proper renewal of those contracts.

2. Reviews, renews and manages maintenance jobs related to BU's customers as well as owner's Office on urgent and priority basis.

3. Reviews, clarifies and processes Internal Requisitions for goods and services required by Business Units in order to purchase good and services.

4. When needed, sends corresponding enquiries to suppliers and compares quotes to evaluate the best offers received.

5. Negotiates the best price and conditions for offers received to reduce the cost of goods purchased and improve the company's performance.

6. Checks that goods offered are matching with specifications and quality standards requested, to ensure the purchase of the right products.

7. Prepares reports to Management on objectives or other support activities of the department

8. Records “RFQs” (requests for quotation) and Purchase Orders in Oracle to document and process the orders of goods and services.

9. Gets approval and signature from Purchase Manager (or Assistant) for processing the order.

10. Informs and coordinates with the Requesters from BU regarding order process, supplier delivery condition and other relevant information in order to ensure fast and reliable delivery.

Qualifications:

• Minimum educational, , professional and vocation qualification required

• Graduation in any discipline

• Good knowledge of contracting, construction and maintenance fields as well as related suppliers.

• Ability to organize the work priorities

• 5 years experience in equivalent position in the UAE
• Level and type of behavioral and functional competencies required Listening , understanding and respond effectively.
• High integrity, Good ethics and no tolerance to any non compliances.
