Procurement Officer

The Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing the procurement processes for all required items, especially components for RMUs, Switch Gears, Low-Voltage and Medium-Voltage Panels. This role involves ensuring that procurement activities are conducted in an accountable and transparent manner, in accordance with approved corporate policies and procedures. The employees will work closely with various departments to ensure that the company receives the best value for money and that procurement activities support the company's strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for all components, especially the ones needed for RMUs, Switch Gears, Low-Voltage and Medium-Voltage Panels.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide support.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.
  • Manage the procurement budget and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Provide guidance and direction to junior procurement staff.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced Diploma / Level 5 in Procurement & Supply - CIPS or SPSM.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, with at least 1 year in the field of RMUs, Switch Gears, Low-Voltage and Medium-Voltage Panels.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement laws and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and procurement software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a construction or engineering environment.
  • Working knowledge of public sector procurement.
