Procurement Officer

Job Summary:

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for joinery and fit-out production projects. The role requires strong market knowledge, vendor management skills, and a solid understanding of joinery materials and production processes within the GCC region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate suppliers for joinery materials such as timber, veneers, laminates, hardware, and finishing products.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local and international vendors.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production and project teams to forecast material requirements.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and quality standards.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain an approved vendor list.
• Collaborate with design, estimation, and production departments to ensure technical specifications are met.
• Stay updated on market trends, new materials, and alternative suppliers in the GCC region.
• Prepare and maintain accurate procurement reports and documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.Tech / B.Sc. Engineering) or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in the GCC region, preferably in joinery, interior fit-out, or furniture manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of joinery materials, manufacturing processes, and supplier markets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Ability to handle multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
• Valid GCC driving license (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR6,000.00 - QAR6,500.00 per month
