Procurement Officer – Oil & Gas

Job Summary

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and expediting materials, equipment, and services required for Oil & Gas projects. The role ensures timely procurement in compliance with company policies, technical specifications, HSE standards, and industry regulations while achieving cost efficiency and supplier reliability.Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing:

Source and procure Oil & Gas materials, equipment, spare parts, and services (e.g., pipes, valves, fittings, drilling equipment, instrumentation, electrical & mechanical items).Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs in line with technical and commercial requirements.Evaluate technical and commercial bids in coordination with Engineering, QA/QC, and Project teams.Negotiate prices, delivery terms, warranties, and payment conditions with suppliers and vendors.

Vendor Management:

Identify, evaluate, and maintain approved suppliers and subcontractors.Develop strong relationships with local and international vendors.Conduct vendor performance reviews and resolve supply-related issues.Ensure vendors comply with Oil & Gas standards, HSE requirements, and contractual obligations.

Purchase Orders & Contracts:

Prepare purchase orders, subcontracts, and frame agreements.Ensure compliance with contractual terms, company policies, and applicable regulations.Coordinate with Legal and Finance for contract finalization when required.Expediting & LogisticsFollow up on order acknowledgments, manufacturing schedules, inspections, and deliveries.Coordinate with logistics and freight forwarders to ensure on-time delivery to site.Handle import/export documentation and customs clearance requirements.

Cost Control & Reporting:

Monitor procurement budgets and ensure cost optimization.Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier data, and documentation.Prepare procurement reports, savings analysis, and delivery status updates.Compliance & SystemsEnsure compliance with ISO, API, ASME, and Oil & Gas industry standards.Use ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for procurement transactions and reporting.Support audits and ensure proper documentation control.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.

2–3 years of procurement experience in Oil & Gas or EPC projects.

Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas materials, equipment, and industry standards.Experience with local (UAE/GCC) and international sourcing.

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred).Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with ADNOC, ARAMCO, PDO, or other major Oil & Gas client requirements.

Knowledge of Incoterms, international logistics, and customs regulations.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
