procurement officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to manage purchasing activities, source reliable suppliers, and ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services required for company operations.

✅ Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with store/warehouse teams
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
  • Compare quotations and ensure best value for money
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or quality problems
  • Support audits by providing procurement-related documents

Requirements & Skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, or related field
  • Previous experience in procurement or purchasing (preferred)
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of supplier management and purchasing procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Email)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills
