Procurement Officer

Job Purpose:

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and services in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining quality standards. The role requires strong supplier management and negotiation skills, an understanding of technical specifications preferably in an industrial setting, and excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel . The candidate should also be knowledgeable in ERP systems for purchase order processing, inventory coordination, and procurement tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including RFQs, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and award.
• Source reliable suppliers and vendors, both locally and internationally, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
• Track procurement KPIs, delivery timelines, and supplier performance.
• Monitor stock levels and collaborate with inventory and logistics teams to prevent shortages.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure continuous supply and favorable terms.
• Analyze market trends and price forecasts to reduce procurement costs.
• Support internal audits and provide documentation for compliance and quality checks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Certifications:
• CIPS qualification preferred (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent certification.
• Experience:
• Minimum 5+ years or more of relevant procurement experience in the UAE.
• Skills:
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Good understanding of technical specifications and drawings.

Preferred Attributes:

• Familiarity with import/export regulations and local market dynamics.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
