Procurement Officer

A Procurement Officer is responsible for purchasing goods, materials, and services required by the organization while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality standards, and timely delivery. The role involves vendor management, contract negotiation, and ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchasing & Sourcing
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for goods and services.
  • Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate contracts.
  • Ensure procurement is done at the best price and quality.
  • Vendor Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance regularly.
  • Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
  • Procurement Planning
  • Forecast purchasing needs based on departmental requirements.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure approval processes are followed.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock.
  • Cost Control
  • Conduct cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Negotiate favorable payment terms with suppliers.
  • Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation.
  • Coordination
  • Coordinate with finance, logistics, and warehouse teams.
  • Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Reporting
  • Prepare procurement reports and supplier analysis.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs and performance metrics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per month
