Procurement Officer

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer with a strong background in civil contracting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for civil construction projects. This role requires deep market knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work closely with project and site teams to ensure timely delivery and cost-efficient procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for civil construction materials and services.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, compare quotations, and recommend the most competitive options.
• Ensure materials and services comply with project specifications, quality standards, and company procedures.
• Maintain and update the approved vendor list; develop new supplier relationships where needed.
• Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and ensure timely arrival of goods to project sites.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and finance to align procurement activities with site requirements.
• Prepare procurement reports, maintain documentation, and support audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and relevant procurement law.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in procurement within civil contracting or construction sectors (UAE experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of civil materials such as concrete, steel, aggregates, formwork, MEP basics, and subcontracted services.
• Proven ability to negotiate prices, contracts, and payment terms effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
