Job Purpose
:
The Procurement Specialist will oversee the sourcing and acquisition of pre-owned vehicles for
Legend AutoHub, the Used Car Division of Legend Motors, serving exclusively the UAE market. The
role focuses on securing high-quality inventory at competitive prices, managing supplier
relationships, and ensuring compliance with UAE regulations to support the division’s sales and
profitability goals.
Responsibilities

Vehicle Sourcing:
Identify and procure mid-to-high-end pre-owned vehicles through trade-ins from Legend’s New Car Dealerships, local auctions, and trusted UAE-based suppliers, aligning with market demand.

Supplier Management:
Build and maintain relationships with local vehicle suppliers, auction houses, and Legend’s Rent-a-Car Division for vehicle transfers at Net Book Value, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring consistent supply.

Cost Negotiation:
Secure vehicles at optimal prices, balancing acquisition costs with market resale value, to achieve target profit margins for Legend AutoHub.

Quality Assessment Coordination:
Collaborate with the Cataloging Associate and Legend’s Service Centre to verify vehicle condition, history, and refurbishment needs before finalizing purchases, ensuring only high-quality inventory is acquired.

Inventory Planning:
Analyze UAE market trends and sales data to forecast inventory needs, maintaining a balanced stock of popular models and avoiding overstocking.

Compliance & Documentation
: Ensure all vehicle acquisitions comply with UAE regulations, including RTA requirements and VAT (5% standard rate), preparing accurate documentation for registration and audits.

Process Optimization:
Streamline procurement processes, such as supplier onboarding or auction bidding strategies, to improve efficiency and reduce acquisition timelines.

Collaboration:
Partner with the Sales and Marketing teams to align inventory with promotional campaigns and customer preferences, ensuring stock meets demand.

Acquisition Cost Efficiency:
Achieve an average acquisition cost 10% below market resale value for at least 80% of procured vehicles, tracked monthly.

Inventory Quality:
Ensure 95% of procured vehicles pass Service Centre quality checks without major refurbishments, verified quarterly.

Supplier Reliability:
Maintain agreements with at least 10 active UAE suppliers, with 90% on- time delivery performance.

Compliance Adherence: Achieve 100% compliance with RTA and VAT regulations for all vehicle acquisitions, with zero audit discrepancies.
Who Fits the Legend’s Seat

Experience: 3+ years in procurement, inventory sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the UAE automotive industry.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.

Knowledge of the UAE used car market, including popular brands (and auction dynamics.

Proficiency in inventory management tools (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.

Attributes: Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with vehicle auctions or trade-in programs in Dubai’s used car market.
