Procurement Specialist

Key Role:

Research and negotiate major organizational contracts and procurements. Apply specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance, and review or guide activities of junior employees. Maintain responsibility for sourcing and acquiring goods, services, and materials needed for a variety of government programs. Interact daily with clients and vendors. Support a procurement budget and forecast as needed. Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and compliance with company policies. Maintain multiple procurement trackers with accurate and constantly changing information on a daily basis. Leverage understanding of statement of works (SOW) and sole source justification (SSJ). Assist in packaging and coordinating shipments of requirement items.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with using MS Excel
• 3+ years of experience with using MS Word
• Experience in supporting budgets, performing cost forecasting, and ensuring financial accountability
• Knowledge of SOW and SSJ documentation
• Knowledge of reconcile expense reports
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to move and load boxes weighing up to 30 pounds several times a week to be delivered to client locations
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in procurement support, Master's degree and 1+ years of experience in procurement support, or 5+ years of experience in procurement support in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge of procurement in a government or regulated environment preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
