We are looking for a “Procurement Specialist” to be assigned to our “Supply Chain Management” department.


WHAT DO WE EXPECT?


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Marine Engineering, Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering etc)
  • At least 3 years of experience in procurement processes,
  • Very good command of Turkish & English,
  • Knowledge in SAP,
  • Competent in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Programmes,
  • Knowledge of contract law,
  • Competent in analytical and problem-solving skills, strong negotiation skills, good communication,
  • Strong interpersonal/organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • High stress management skills and handles stress,
  • Hardworker and agile,
  • No restriction for travelling,


WHAT AWAITS YOU?


  • Acting in accordance with company procedures, policies, instructions
  • Purchasing of goods and services with desired quality and technical specifications, optimal cost from confirmed suppliers within on time
  • Preparing and interpreting price comparison tables by analyzing commercial conditions
  • Identifying to potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building good relationships
  • Providing cost and quality advantage by developing alternative suppliers and materials,
  • Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, and relevant internal departments;
  • Taking proactive actions regarding commercial issues,
  • Conducting cost down works in order to lower total purchasing cost,
  • Preparing and conducting contract and price negotiations with suppliers for medium to large volumes to contribute to the profitability of the company,
  • Establishing purchasing contracts with suppliers and managing contract negotiations,
  • Preparing and presenting relevant reports to Procurement Manager
