Procurement Specialist

Egypt Education Platform is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our procurement team. This role is essential for managing the procurement processes within our educational institutions, ensuring that we acquire high-quality goods and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute procurement activities by sourcing and selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, and purchasing supplies, equipment, and services in compliance with organizational policies
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings based on quality, price, and delivery terms
• Maintain and manage relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply and quality standards are met
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future procurement needs to avoid shortages or overstock situations
• Prepare purchase orders and contracts while ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of the most suitable suppliers, and manage the performance of existing suppliers through regular assessments
• Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and provide efficient solutions to meet those needs
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and update procurement databases accordingly
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective relationships with suppliers
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; familiarity with procurement software is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Fluency in English is essential, with knowledge of additional languages being a plus
