What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a strategic and insightful Sourcing Manager. You thrive in the automotive and manufacturing world, enjoy analyzing costs, and have a talent for building strong supplier relationships. You are confident, analytical, and a great communicator, able to make smart business decisions while keeping the bigger picture in mind.

What You Will Do

• Own and lead the direct materials sourcing strategy across critical EV systems, shaping cost, quality, and supply resilience as Shift EV scales across MENA and Europe.
• Act as a strategic business partner to engineering, quality teams, influencing design, sourcing decisions, and make-vs-buy strategies from early development through series production.
• Drive step-change cost improvements, leveraging deep BOM analysis, value engineering, localization strategies, and should-cost modeling - not just price negotiation.
• Build and evolve a high-performance supplier ecosystem, managing suppliers across cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and sustainability, while proactively addressing risks and constraints.
• Play a key role in scaling the business, supporting new product introductions, and international expansion through robust sourcing strategies.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers, strengthening multi-sourcing, localization, and risk mitigation as volumes and complexity grow.
• Track market dynamics and cost drivers (commodities, capacity, logistics, geopolitics) and translate insights into actionable sourcing decisions for leadership.
• Continuously raise the bar, improving sourcing processes, governance, dashboards and tools as Shift EV transitions from startup agility to industrial scale.

Who You Are

• Strategic direct materials sourcing professional with a strong engineering background.
• Solid experience in BOM costing, should-cost, and cost breakdown analysis.
• Confident negotiator and supplier manager with strong commercial judgment.
• Highly analytical and financially savvy, able to balance cost, quality, and risk.
• Experienced in automotive / EV / industrial manufacturing environments.
• Ownership-driven, effective communicator, and comfortable in high-growth settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering; 6+ years’ experience.
