Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist with a strong background in UAE contracting companies. The role involves managing procurement activities for construction projects, including sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle project-based procurement for civil, MEP, and finishing works.
• Source, evaluate, and onboard approved suppliers and subcontractors.
• Float RFQs/RFPs, conduct commercial and technical comparisons, and prepare evaluation reports.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
• Issue Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and subcontract agreements.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, QS, and Planning teams for material and subcontractor requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to avoid project delays.
• Maintain an updated approved vendor list (AVL).
• Monitor supplier performance, quality compliance, and delivery timelines.
• Support the QS/Estimation team with pricing during tender stage.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and UAE standards.
• Track and control procurement budgets and report cost variances.
• Resolve procurement-related issues such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in a contracting company (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of construction materials (civil, MEP, finishing) and local/international supplier.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in high-rise, villa, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
