Overview
Efficio is a leading procurement and supply chain consultancy with offices across Europe, North America, and the Middle East. We are recruiting for our Saudi operations to join a growing team supporting clients across the Kingdom on Vision 2030 projects.
As a Procurement Specialist - Development & Construction, you will be embedded with client procurement functions, delivering procurement activity to realise Saudi Vision 2030.
What you will be doing
- Take full ownership of the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, from sourcing strategy to purchase order execution, with a focus on development and construction projects. Ensure procurement activities are efficient, compliant, and value-driven.
- Manage the entire procurement process: requirements gathering, market engagement, supplier selection, and PO execution.
- Drive sourcing initiatives across categories such as Engineering, Design & Technical Consulting, Construction, Infrastructure & Turnkey Projects, and Finishings & Interior Design; identify opportunities for cost savings and service improvement.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory frameworks while maintaining a client-focused mindset.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships (e.g., project managers, finance, legal, engineering) to support alignment and effective decision-making across approval workflows.
- Oversee requisition and PO process, ensuring timely and accurate execution, including resolution of budget check errors or system issues.
- Lead supplier onboarding and conduct internal training to support adoption of procurement systems and best practices.
- Analyse spend and supplier data to propose cost-saving and efficiency improvement strategies.
- Perform other job-related duties as required by the direct manager.
About you
- You have a strong end-to-end procurement and commercial management background (minimum 5 years).
- You bring experience managing procurement across major capital programs.
- You have previous experience working with a developer, main contractor or project management consultancy.
- You have a track record of understanding the construction market landscape, advising on suitable packaging approaches and delivering savings through strategic sourcing and continuous improvement.
- You possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- You are an adept multi-tasker, capable of managing multiple concurrent sourcing activities.
- You use data to support informed decision-making and are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables), Word, and PowerPoint.
- You have hands-on experience with ERP procurement tools such as SAP Ariba, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Arabic language capabilities (verbal and written) advantageous.
Contract
This is an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
