Job Title: Procurement Technician

Salary: Starting at $95,000

Reporting to the CAO and Procurement Manager, this position is responsible for the surgical procurement of organs and tissues in concurrence to making independent decisions when approaching their viability based on training and experience. Collaborates with hospital staff, OR recovery teams, AnaBios Procurement Manager, and Lab Director, as well as other AnaBios staff to determine the appropriate organ/tissue outcome. The Procurement Technician will provide quality customer service to all callers and can multi-task in a frequently fast-paced environment while having a high level of attention to detail. This position directly contributes to the success of AnaBios with respect to the determining organs/tissues eligibility. This position should embody the values and attributes of AnaBios and help ensure outstanding customer service throughout the service territory.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Allied Health, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in one or more of the following areas: EMT, Hospital Corpsman, Operating Room (OR), Emergency Room (ER), Intensive Care Unit (ICU) technician, or equivalent roles with a strong customer service component.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information professionally to diverse audiences.
• Comprehensive knowledge of procedures, practices, and policies related to organ and tissue procurement.
• Critical thinking skills with the ability to anticipate and solve problems independently.
• Prior work experience in tissue banking, medical device, surgery, or organ procurement preferred.
• Must be able to travel frequently and work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
