About the Role

The PADT Culinary is responsible for driving product and application development activities in close collaboration with Sales, Customers, and internal teams. This role plays a key part in developing, optimizing, and scaling culinary solutions while ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Symrise standards. The position combines hands‑on formulation work, customer technical support, and cross‑functional coordination in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

• Coordinate technical projects (Specific, Creative, Application) initiated by the Sales team, documenting all activities in Symrise platforms (PACE / SAP).
• Develop seasoning compounds and culinary / Ready‑to‑Eat (RTE) applications in accordance with Symrise formulation guidelines.
• Optimize products and seasoning compounds, continuously updating BOMs and raw material solutions.
• Act as a technical contact for key customers, providing application support and working closely with Sales Account Managers.
• Perform sensory evaluations and product assessments, including benchmarking of market products.
• Ensure all laboratory activities comply with legal requirements, Symrise guidelines, GLP, and internal procedures.
• Support Quality Control (QC) with raw material and finished product evaluations, as well as troubleshooting technical issues when required.
• Support scale‑up activities for new products in collaboration with Operations and QC.
• Participate in sensory sessions and support sensory validation processes in coordination with SCI.
• Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) rules, instructions, and best practices.

About you

• University degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or an equivalent scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Product Development Technologist, Application Technologist, or in a similar role within the same industry.
• Proven experience working with functional ingredients.
• Strong background in the development of sauces and instant sauces.
• Hands‑on, application‑oriented mindset with the ability to translate technical knowledge into practical product solutions.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast‑paced product development environment.
