The Position
A leading global entertainment and media company is seeking an attorney with strong product counseling experience to support its direct-to-consumer streaming platforms. This role sits within a dynamic product and technology organization that drives innovation across consumer-facing digital services.

The attorney will provide strategic legal guidance throughout the product development, launch, and lifecycle phases, with a primary focus on consumer law, product marketing, and business operations. The position also involves collaborating closely with teams handling privacy, partnerships, content licensing, and promotional initiatives.

Ideal candidates will bring at least five years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, with a track record of advising on product counseling, marketing, and direct-to-consumer operations. Strong analytical skills, practical problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively across business and legal teams are key. California bar membership is required.

This project is 20 hours/week, starts January 5th for an initial estimated 12 week duration. There is a strong preference for someone who can go onsite 1-2 days/week in Santa Monica, CA.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $80 and $110. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
