As a Product Business Analyst within the Digital Transformation team, you will play a critical role in supporting
the design, development, and continuous improvement of our digital insurance products. You will work closely
with Product Managers, UX teams, Engineering, and key stakeholders to translate customer needs and business
requirements into scalable product solutions. You will be responsible for gathering and documenting
requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, optimizing processes, and ensuring high-quality delivery of
features.
This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Collaborate with Product Managers &/or business stakeholders to gather, define, and refine
business/product requirements. - Translate business objectives into clear, actionable user stories, workflows and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain product documentation such as process flows, release notes, and backlog items.
- Manage and groom the product backlog using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Support the creation and maintenance of project plans, test cases, and go-to-market plans.
- Act as the bridge between business, product, UX, and technology teams to ensure clarity & alignment.
- Facilitate workshops and interviews with internal and external stakeholders to capture pain points and
opportunities. - Support product discovery activities (journey mapping, persona definition, MVP scoping.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on the use of the new digital systems.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, requirement walkthroughs, and backlog refinement sessions.
- Map current (‘as-is’) and future state (‘to-be’) customer journeys and operational workflows.
- Identify inefficiencies or manual touchpoints that can be automated or optimized, and propose
improvements. - Collaborate with operations and tech teams to streamline processes.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to recommend product enhancements.
- Track product performance metrics and prepare reports for decision-making.
- Support UAT planning and execution by aligning business users and ensuring traceability of
requirements. - Validate that product features meet the intended outcomes before go-live.
- Ensure documentation, artifacts, and reporting adhere to team standards.
- Create / maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal process documentation.
- Support consistency in delivery across projects through reusable templates and checklists.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing within the product team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of business analysis experience in digital platforms, preferably in insurance, fintech, or e-
commerce. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional product squads.
- Familiarity with SDLC and product lifecycle practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency with SQL, Excel, or BI tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with customer journey tools (e.g., Miro, Figma, MS Visio) and backlog management
systems (e.g., JIRA). - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to distill complex information clearly.
- Exposure to APIs, product integrations, or digital onboarding flows is a plus.
- Understanding of health or general insurance products (quote, bind, issue, claim) is highly
desirable. - Experience working in regulated environments or with compliance teams is a plus.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity in fast-evolving, startup-like environments.
- Product mindset with a focus on outcomes, not just deliverables.
- Exposure to quality standards, process controls, and knowledge management practices, especially
from an operational excellence perspective is a plus.
