Who are we?

noon, the region's leading consumer commerce platform. On December 12th, 2017, noon launched its consumer platform in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, expanding to Egypt in February 2019. The noon ecosystem of services now includes marketplaces for food delivery, quick-commerce, fintech, and fashion. noon is a work in progress; we’re six years in, but only 5% done.

What is the CAKE program:

CAKE is a very carefully crafted initiative by noon that aims to recruit and nurture talented fresh graduates from the region and train them to become experts in GCC’s e-commerce industry. It consists of a 10-week intensive training program that equips the new joiners with the technical and domain knowledge to become productive members of the noon engineering ecosystem. Through end-to-end training projects, technical tutorials, design sessions, weekly Q/As with the CTO, and calls with members of noon’s different verticals, the new joiners will learn about noon from many angles and will eventually onboard into specialized teams. The program also includes mentorship to help the joiners as they progress in their career.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements, analyze user needs and translate them into high quality products.
• Create high-fidelity prototypes using flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
• Collaborate with a cross functional team to achieve great results.
• Create/ manage existing design system.
• Conduct user research and testing methodologies to validate the design decisions
• Contribute to product planning, strategy and roadmaps.
• Contribute to OKRs and Tech org performance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge/ Understanding of building/ maintaining design systems.
• Knowledge in E-commerce, illustrations and animations would shine your profile.
• Ability to solve complex UX problems, logical thinking and good technical understanding of e-commerce and Q-commerce systems.
• Knowledge in the required tools of trade like Figma.
• Have a super knack of user experience and journey.
• Ability to multitask in a highly energetic, fast paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
