Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Product Designer to join our core product development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative retail products that align with market trends, customer preferences, and the company’s brand identity.

The role requires strong design skills, commercial understanding, and coordination with sourcing, merchandising, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Research current market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products within the retail industry.
• Create innovative product concepts, sketches, technical drawings, and design presentations.
• Develop product collections in line with seasonal trends and company objectives.
• Coordinate with sourcing teams for product development and sampling.
• Ensure product designs meet quality, functionality, cost, and brand standards.
• Work closely with merchandising and sales teams to understand customer demand and market opportunities.
• Prepare design specifications, materials selection, color palettes, packaging concepts, and production guidelines.
• Review product samples and recommend modifications before final production.
• Manage multiple design projects while meeting deadlines and commercial targets.
• Maintain updated records of designs, approvals, and product development timelines.
• Support branding and visual presentation initiatives for retail products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Product Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in product design within retail, lifestyle, gifting, packaging, or consumer goods industry.
• Strong knowledge of design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar tools.
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and aesthetics.
• Understanding of materials, production processes, and retail product development.
• Ability to balance creativity with commercial and cost considerations.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of UAE/GCC retail market trends is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in packaging and branding design.
• Photography, mock-up creation, or 3D rendering skills will be an added advantage.
• Strong presentation and product storytelling abilities.
