Job Summary
This position focuses on technical support for R&D, product development, process development, and transfer to manufacturing projects.
Essential Functions

Work closely with R&D team to design and develop innovative products
-
Develop and refine both R&D and production level manufacturing work instructions
-
Assist in design and construction of developmental components, sub-assemblies and prototype devices
-
Record observations of both assembly processes and assembly (or component) performance
-
Assist in development of test methods, through test method design, construction and execution
-
Perform product testing, record data and perform simple analysis
-
Communicate to teammates about progress and learnings both verbally and in writing, when necessary
-
Train and support operators on new manufacturing projects
-
Drive timelines and assist in product manufacturing when necessary
-
Gather inspection data on new products to refine customer specs
-
Evaluate manufacturing transfer projects and provide line support to ensure a smooth transition
-
Work with project team to build quality product and deliver on time
Requirements:
Education, Experience, Required Skills
-
Experience and/or training in using a microscope in assembly, working with different types of class III implantable devices, working with active medical devices requiring laser welding/soldering.

Knowledge of common medical device materials of construction and manufacturing processes
-
3-5+ years of experience required, with at least 2 years of experience working with catheters or delivery systems.

Strong technical ability with focus on quality

Ability to handle and be trusted with confidential and/or sensitive information

Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

Support company finance, accounting, human resources, quality, regulatory, and clinical departments as necessary to ensure compliance with requirements.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times

Possess the manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed

Must have excellent hand-eye coordination

Must wear gown, gloves, ear protection and personal protective equipment when applicable

Compensation
-
The typical base pay range for this role is between $30.00-38.00/hour. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
