Product Engineer

As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated production test solutions for complex products that integrate mechanical, optical, and electrical components. In collaboration with cross-functional development teams, you will take ownership of creating both hardware and software testing systems to meet product testing requirements. You will work closely with global contract manufacturers to deploy, train, and support these testing solutions at their facilities. Additionally, you will monitor product performance and yield, ensuring consistent quality and reliability throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product development teams early in the design phase to ensure proper Design for Test (DFT) infrastructure is implemented.

• Define the product test flow, including test points, specifications, and measurement conditions, in coordination with the development team to validate devices under test while meeting target yield and throughput.

• Develop, source, and integrate the required hardware and software to build automated test systems for both development and production environments.

• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including test designs, procedures, specifications, drawings, verification reports, and test data analysis.

• Deploy and maintain production test solutions at contract manufacturer sites, ensuring smooth operation and compliance with requirements.

• Analyze production data, identify trends, and communicate findings and improvement recommendations to relevant teams.

• Investigate and debug failures at contract manufacturers, identify root causes, and propose effective corrective and preventive actions to mitigate recurrence.

Technical Qualifications

• BSc. degree in Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronics Engineering.

• Experience: 0-3 Years.

• Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in developing production-grade applications, automation scripts, hardware-interface modules.

• Practical experience in microcontroller programming, sensor integration, and communication protocols.

• Solid experience in C / C++ system-level programming, low-level hardware interfacing, memory management, OOP, multithreading, sockets, REST APIs.

• Strong background in electrical testing and interfacing with test equipment.

• Skilled in developing automation scripts, algorithms, and data-processing workflows.

• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing automated test systems.

• Experience in failure analysis, root cause identification, and system debugging.

• Familiarity with LabVIEW for test automation (considered a plus).

• Skilled in Linux command-line operations, Bash scripting, cross-compilation, Makefiles/CMake, and embedded Linux development (considered a plus).

• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies (considered a plus).

• Experience in Machine Learning / Computer Vision (considered a plus).
