Product Governance & Policy Documentation Specialist

Role Summary:

The Product Governance & Policy Documentation Specialist will ensure that all banking products comply with regulatory requirements, including CBUAE guidelines, AML/CFT standards, consumer protection rules, and Sharia principles. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date, and accessible product policies and documentation to reduce regulatory risk, enhance operational efficiency, and improve the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive product policies, procedures, SOPs, and customer-facing documents such as product brochures and FAQs, ensuring alignment with current laws, market conditions, and internal strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Sharia teams to ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
  • Manage a centralized documentation repository with strict version control, ensuring documents are accessible to relevant teams and audit-ready at all times.
  • Provide clear, standardized documentation to frontline and operational teams, reducing errors and improving customer service delivery.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing and providing timely, accurate documentation and evidence of compliance.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and ensure timely incorporation of changes into product documentation and policies.
  • Work closely with product teams to embed governance practices in product lifecycle and delivery processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, product governance, or policy documentation within banking or financial services.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE banking regulations, including CBUAE requirements, AML/CFT frameworks, and consumer protection laws.
  • Strong understanding of Islamic banking principles and Sharia-compliant product requirements is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written communication and policy drafting skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working with documentation tools such as MS Word, SharePoint, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively across teams.
