Job Description Summary
As the
Product Localization Lead
, you will spearhead technical localization activities, ensuring seamless integration of local parts into production while adhering to standards. You will lead cross-functional teams, solve complex engineering challenges, and drive innovation to enhance product quality and cost efficiency. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining technical integrity, compliance, and safety throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities include:
Technical Localization & Production Support

Develop and deliver technical packages, ADV plans, and ensure timely approval/release of local parts per MMM localization processes.

Participate in Technical reviews with suppliers during local parts development.

Lead/approve reverse engineering activities for supplier "know-how" parts and participate in supplier capabilities assessment before nomination.
Cross-Functional Leadership

Lead local parts development teams (internal/supplier) to design, validate, and implement solutions for vehicle systems, subsystems, and components.

Collaborate with Manufacturing, Production, and Suppliers to align engineering designs with operational goals.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

Resolve complex warranty and plant defects using advanced methodologies (Six Sigma, RedX, etc.).

Drive cost reduction, product improvements, and support prototype/production builds for new programs.

Approve repair methods for production vehicles and provide technical consultancy to mitigate value-chain disruptions.

Responsible for integrity and compliance to the technical and quality standards throughout the vehicle's life cycle and Making Safety Risk Assessment for all product safety investigations.
Innovation & Technology Application

Leverage existing and emerging technologies to enhance design, manufacturing, and engineering processes.
Other requirements:
Knowledge, Education and Experience:

2 Years of minimum experience in Automotive industry

4 Years of minimum experience in product development
- B.Sc. in Engineering, preferably in Automotive or Production Engineering, familiar with the vehicle Sub-Systems & Components.

Knowledge/certification of Six Sigma or any problem-solving tools is preferable
Technical Skills

Proficiency in any CAD tools (Inventor, Solid Edge, CATIA).

Strong grasp of design concepts, manufacturing tech, and statistical analysis.
