Product Manager

We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Product Category Manager to lead the end-to-end category management in the Consumer Electronics segment. The ideal candidate brings deep industry knowledge, supplier relationships, and a strong understanding of market dynamics within the CE space.


Role Description

The Product Manager (Brand Distribution) role at Techmart is a full-time on-site position located in Muscat, Oman. The Product Manager will be responsible for product strategy, planning, and execution throughout the product lifecycle, within the product Distribution context.

They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, engineering, and operations, to develop and deliver successful products. Additionally, they will be responsible for market research, competitive analysis, product positioning, and pricing strategy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute brand category strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market share within the appliances product range
  • Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
  • Source and negotiate with brand
  • Build product assortments based on data-driven insights and seasonal trends
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, and Retail teams to drive successful product launches and campaigns
  • Track sales performance, manage inventory levels, and optimise product lifecycle planning
  • Ensure compliance with product safety standards, regulatory requirements, and warranty policies
  • Manage relationships with key brands and ensure visibility, availability, and promotional alignment across all sales channels


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in category or product management, specifically within the CE segment
  • Strong supplier negotiation and sourcing experience, preferably across both local and global markets
  • Proven analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking skills
  • Experience working with major appliance brands and an understanding of product lifecycle and tech innovations
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred


Preferred Experience

  • Previous work in distribution
  • Track record of delivering margin improvements and growing category revenue
