Shift: First Shift


POSITION PURPOSE

In this role, you will manage our software product portfolio. You will own prioritizing customer needs, creating the roadmap, and facilitating day-to-day product discovery and delivery activities to achieve the team's committed key results. Working with a variety of stakeholders, product managers, designers, engineers, and QA team members, you will be accountable for continuously improving the user journey to accomplish our core business goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

Articulate product strategy for your area of ownership, sell your vision to leadership, and champion a roadmap that inspires the business unit to deliver product strategy.

  • Co-leads the vision and strategic direction for SCRAM's software portfolio by working with other Product Managers and stakeholders

  • Launches product initiatives with high confidence through mitigating risks and executing go-to-market plans with all relevant stakeholders

  • Represents the voice of the customer by participating in customer research activities and continuously identifying ways to enhance customer value

  • Steers and manages the product life cycle across ideation, launch, generational SKUs, and end of life

  • Drives the product roadmap-creates, plans and prioritizes product initiatives that deliver meaningful customer and company value

  • Drives cross-functional collaboration through the product development process

  • Clearly communicate the solutions of your product utilizing key communication tools like detailed mock-ups, user flows, and prototypes

  • Develop detailed written requirements with acceptance criteria and negotiate trade-offs with engineering and design teams

  • Leads in determining development priorities based on customer, company and business needs

  • Responsible for planning, administering, and completing all established goals related to the product line

  • Establishes and measures product development effort relative to cost, value creation and customer satisfaction

  • Lead daily/weekly/monthly standups, planning, and grooming activities

  • Monitors key metrics related to the product line, including but not limited to: NPS scoring, customer satisfaction and sentiment levels, sales, revenue, profitability, etc.

  • Drives the 4 Ps of a product's success in the market: product, pricing, promotion, and place

  • Product - defines and executes strategies for successful products and services

  • Pricing - considers the economics of a given product and how to position it for optimal market success

  • Promotion - guides the translation of unique value propositions and product features into effective market messaging

  • Place - considers the comprehensive and optimal channel landscape for selling the company's products and services

  • Leverages the 3 Cs to drive a product's success in the market: customer, company and competition

  • Customer - represents customers' interests in all facets of product delivery and defines user experiences that resonate strongly with customers

  • Company - deploys products, services and features that maximize company value

  • Competition - maintains a pulse on competitor offerings and considers how to deliver enhanced and unique value to the market

  • Acts as a SCRAM product leader by demonstrating technical and business proficiency

  • Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies


Experience and Skills:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years minimum of product management experience (preferably 5 years or more), some experience in a business-to-business product environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing

  • Independent self-starter; comfortable conducting market research, competitive intelligence, and interfacing with customers to craft a product strategy and roadmap

  • Ability to clearly describe the vision for our products as well as the ability to define clear requirements and use cases to support them; experience in creating and maintaining product roadmaps

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the product development lifecycle with some experience delivering meaningful products and/or feature improvements

  • Demonstrates knowledge of location monitoring/tracking technologies

  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience of communications technologies and tools, including modem and wireless

  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies

  • Knowledge of the typical processes used to develop digital products and Apps across various platforms including web, apps, and connected devices

  • Highly analytical and comfortable using a variety of reporting systems and tools

  • Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail

  • Excellent communication/presentation skills, with the ability to convey intricate ideas in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders and senior leadership

  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Willingness to travel occasionally domestically; travel 3-5 trips per year

  • Advanced command of English language
