JOB OVERVIEW

Product Portfolio Lead

LOCATION : Doha, Qatar

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Product Portfolio Lead is responsible for managing the organization’s product and initiative portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategy, prioritization of investments, and successful delivery of value.

The role ensures that product initiatives are selected, prioritized, and monitored based on business impact, customer value, risk, and resource capacity.

This role acts as the bridge between strategy, business units, technology, and delivery teams, ensuring the right products and initiatives are funded and executed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Portfolio Strategy & Planning

Define and manage the product portfolio governance framework.

• Translate strategic objectives into product and initiative roadmaps.
• Support annual and quarterly portfolio planning and prioritization.
• Evaluate new product ideas and investment proposals.

Portfolio Prioritization & Investment Decisions

• Establish prioritization criteria based on value, cost, risk, and capacity.
• Facilitate portfolio review and prioritization workshops.
• Support business case development and investment approvals.
• Ensure alignment between portfolio, budgets, and strategic goals.

Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting

Track portfolio performance, milestones, and benefits realization.

• Monitor risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.
• Provide executive dashboards and portfolio performance reports.
• Support governance forums and steering committees.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Coordinate with Product Managers, PMO, Finance, and Technology teams.

• Ensure transparency and alignment across initiatives.
• Resolve prioritization conflicts and dependencies.

Continuous Improvement

Improve portfolio governance, tools, and processes.

• Promote data-driven decision-making and value realization.

POTENTIAL BACKGROUND

Education:

· Bachelor’s in business, Engineering, IT, or related field (MBA is a plus

Experience:

· 8–12+ years in product, portfolio, PMO, or strategy roles

· Experience in digital transformation or product-driven environment

Preferred Certifications:

· PMP / PRINCE2

· Agile / Scrum / SAFe

· Product management certifications (advantage

Typical Previous Roles:

· Portfolio Manager, Senior Product Manager, PMO Manager, Strategy Manager, Program Manager.
