About the role

As the Product Manager , you will lead the development and enhancement of Giant Screening — a background check platform — shaping the future of background screening technology and influencing the experience of thousands of users. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, implementation, operations, and business stakeholders to transform ideas into tangible products. The desired outcome is a market-leading platform that meets customer needs and drives Giant’s mission of delivering compliant, efficient, and seamless background check global solutions.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Own the product roadmap for assigned features, from concept through launch and iteration, and develop a deep understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements for background screening across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Lead integration strategy and execution for third-party services and API partnerships, and conduct user research, competitive analysis, and market analysis to identify product gaps and opportunities.
  • Create detailed product requirements and user stories, managing the product backlog with engineering teams and using prototyping tools like Lovable and AI Studio to validate excellent user experience and interface design.
  • Work closely with Customer Support and customers to understand user pain points and feature requests, and partner with Sales and Marketing teams on go-to-market strategy and product positioning.
  • Track key product metrics using data to drive product decisions, and ensure products meet ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance standards, escalating regulatory, operational, or commercial trade-offs through Senior Product Management and Product Operations as appropriate.
  • Carry significant responsibility for detailed analysis and regulatory interpretation within your product scope, supported by the Product Operations lead.

Your ideal experience & competencies

Ideally you would have 2–3 years of product management experience, preferably in B2B SaaS, along with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a similar field. Experience managing API integrations, third-party service partnerships, and a deep knowledge of databases and software development processes is essential.

  • You can only excel in this role if you bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to empathize with users, combined with excellent communication skills to translate tech, UX, and business concepts clearly and influence without authority.
  • Deep understanding of the product lifecycle and agile iterations, with experience using tools like Smartsheet, Product Board, Jira, and Asana, and comfort working in technical environments with detailed engineering conversations.
  • High level of organization, prioritization, and the ability to manage complex dependencies in a feature or module, with a passion for user experience, product quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Wireframing and prototyping experience using tools like Lovable, Miro, AI Studio, Figma, or Sketch, and knowledge of frameworks such as JTBD, MoSCoW, Story Mapping, or the ICE Model is a strong advantage.
  • A nice-to-have is a strong understanding of compliance and regulations around background screenings, such as FCRA, GDPR, or equivalent, as well as experience in workforce management, HR technology, or the background screening industry.
