As a Product Manager in Small Business Merchant Services, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

Job responsibilities

• Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
• Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
• Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
• Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
• Partners closely with product and engineering teams to deliver against the roadmap, sequencing the capability delivery for ongoing launches that optimize the experience over time
• Leads the strategy development and oversee execution of product enhancements. Obsess over client experience, ensuring that products resonate with clients and deliver exceptional value
• Provides clear vision and scope documentation, use cases, product requirements/epics/stories to support development
• Present your capabilities to the appropriate legal, risk, controls, and compliance forums to review any risks and mitigation plans associated with the product launches
• Owns product delivery end-to-end, including partnering with a commercialization lead on downstream implications for marketing, sales, servicing, and other client-facing personnel

• Navigates ambiguous environments, using strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to drive clarity and direction

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
• Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
• Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
• Aptitude to learn, solve challenging problems and a passion to deliver great user experiences
• Experience building SaaS products for businesses, with a strong track record of success; experience in designing/building solutions with modern technology stacks including APIs, microservices, public cloud, etc.
• Experience partnering with engineering and design teams in bring products to market
• Proven track record of managing new product launches and managing the end-to-end product lifecycle for complex, large-scale initiatives
• An obsession with customer research, product fidelity and user experience
• Strong leadership presence and ability to influence and partner across cross-functional teams; as well as strong verbal/presentation and written communication skills
• Ability to synthesize ambiguous customer needs into clear product requirements
• Master’s or Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business, finance, or a related field
