About the Role
The Product Manager will be responsible for defining and executing a U.S. domestic content strategy for assigned products. This includes ensuring product architectures, sourcing strategies, and cost models support U.S. manufacturing, localization, and applicable domestic content requirements, while maintaining competitiveness, quality, and supply continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain U.S. domestic content requirements within product specifications and business cases
Develop/update business case in response to supplier or internal information
Liaison with Sales across multiple regions to ensure strategic alignment and requirements validation
Coordinate with engineering to ensure new product introduction/launch requirements fulfilled
Interface with suppliers and Procurement to ensure sufficient volume is available post product launch to meet or exceed business case
Communicate / update the business strategy for individual products throughout the product lifecycle as assigned
Partner with Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Chain to evaluate U.S.-based sourcing, manufacturing, and localization trade-offs.
Conduct sales training throughout the launch and remainder of product lifecycle.
Responsible to establish the strategic and financial plan for their product
Guide new product introduction & launch and articulate how your product contributes to Fluence’s business objectives across all regions.
Accountable to develop clear product requirements to be executed by cross functional teams (engineering, procurement, supply chain etc.)
Assess domestic content impacts on cost, margin, eligibility, and scalability throughout the product lifecycle
Monitor supplier readiness and capacity to support U.S. production volumes and localization targets
Required Qualifications and Experiences
5+ years in product management (high growth industries strongly preferred) or 10+ years in engineering (batteries, BMS systems, or power generation strongly preferred) or supply chain/procurement
Several years’ experience of Confluence, Jira, NetSuite, Salesforce, MS Project or similar toolsets.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in STEM fields.
Experience working with manufacturing localization, domestic sourcing strategies, or supply chain cost modelling for complex products
Cyber-physical products or energy storage.
Functional leadership in matrixed environments.
