The Position:
The Product Owner (PO) will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and overseeing the development of products that align with the company's strategic goals. The PO acts as the bridge between the business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that the product delivers maximum value to the business and users.
Product Vision & Roadmap (Strategic Agility): Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the company's objectives. Think strategically to ensure the product aligns with long-term business goals.
Backlog Management (Managing Complexity): Develop, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, balancing multiple priorities and making trade-offs to handle complex product challenges effectively.
Stakeholder Engagement (Influence & Interpersonal Savvy): Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, gather requirements, and ensure that the product meets or exceeds expectations. Build strong relationships to align all parties with the product vision.
Product Launch (Decision Quality): Plan and execute product launches, working with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the product release are coordinated. Make informed, timely decisions to keep the product on track.
Continuous Improvement (Customer Focus & Drive for Results): Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and make data-driven decisions to improve the product continuously. Keep a strong focus on customer needs and product quality.
Day 1-30: Onboarding & Understanding
Get to Know the Team: Meet with key stakeholders, development team members, and other relevant personnel to understand the company's culture, product, and processes.
Day 31-60: Active Contribution & Initial Ownership
Backlog Management: Start taking ownership of the product backlog, including refining user stories, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring alignment with product goals.
Day 61-90: Full Ownership & Strategic Planning
